MEGHAN NELLIGAN

I am a creative storyteller from New Jersey with a passion for mental health awareness. A graduate from Syracuse University, I studied English, Psychology, as well as Women and Gender Studies. After graduating, I worked as a freelance writer at Captivate Talent, Multi Hue Magazine, and Mental Health Affairs. As an Intern for the Communications team at Active Minds I wrote articles and created social media content. I also worked as a tour coordinator for Active Mind’s suicide prevention display, Send Silence Packing. The past two years, I have worked as a freelance writer for Cubo Ai, WordAgents, and DennyWrites amongst others. In my free time, I volunteer for the NJ Chapter of AFSP and manage an Instagram account for my personal poetry: @gempoetry_ . I have had two original poems published in literary magazines this year. Currently, I work as the PR Coordinator at the Jed Foundation which works to support the mental health of teens and young adults.
